Agendas, agenda packets and approved minutes for City Council and the Planning Board are published on the City’s CivicClerk portal. Agendas are usually posted a few days before each meeting. Minutes are posted after Council approves them.

Regular meetings: second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM
Work sessions: last Tuesday of each month at 3:00 PM
Location: Council Chambers, City Hall, 132 W. Virginia Ave.

Meetings are open to the public. Regular meetings are streamed live and recorded on the City’s YouTube channel. See the meetings calendar for dates and any changes.

Council meeting videos and summaries

Each Council meeting gets a post with the full video and a staff-prepared summary, with links to that meeting’s agenda and minutes.

Speak at a Council meeting

Residents may address City Council during the public comment period at regular meetings. Comments are limited to three minutes. Sign up online, or contact the City Clerk at hhayes@bessemercity.com or 704-629-5542.
