About this board
The purpose of Keep Bessemer City Beautiful (KBCB) is to cultivate a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful community through hands-on cleanups, public education, and volunteer-led initiatives. As a local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, KBCB focuses its environmental efforts on community-wide litter reduction, stormwater management, and supporting declining pollinator populations.
The board operates under a structured volunteer and municipal staff committee consisting of an executive leadership team and seven sub-committee members. KBCB relies on its dedicated board members to lead local projects by example, track volunteer hours, serve on specialized task forces, and maintain active participation through bi-monthly meetings to foster a deeper sense of environmental stewardship across Bessemer City.
