The City of Bessemer City and community organizations/non-profits offer opportunities for volunteerism. If you are interested in volunteering and giving back, we invite you to be part of something greater than yourself.
Volunteering is not only about lending a helping hand. It’s about creating connections, finding purpose, and living out the spirit of Heartfelt Living. Every hour of service strengthens our community, uplifts neighbors, and builds a legacy of care that will carry forward for generations.
Your time and talents can make a lasting impact. Sign up today and help us continue shaping Bessemer City into a place where kindness and service thrive!

Boys and Girls Club
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Gaston’s mission is to inspire and enable young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential in becoming productive, responsible and caring citizens. We provide our members with a safe, productive and fun space to continue growing. Our efforts are to keep our members on track for high school graduation and beyond; to build good character skills and leadership; and to encourage a healthy lifestyle. To create…A PLACE TO BECOME!
We are always looking for helping hands in making a difference for the youth of Gaston County. Volunteer opportunities range from serving meals, playing games, art projects, chaperoning field trips, being a mentor and many more! If you would like more information regarding volunteering, please contact Jessica Kendall, Administrative Director, at 704-864-6171 or email jkendall@bgcgreatergaston.org.
